Here are the facts regarding remanufactured controller versus a
rebuilt or repaired controller:
- Since Curtis PMC does not reveal their programming to anyone
outside of the factory or their OEMs, "rebuilt" or "repaired"
controllers may not have the exact programming as specified by
Curtis.
- Curtis PMC controllers are true "plug and play" applications.
The programming is updated to current specifications, thereby
expediting the repair and reducing the customer's equipment downtime.
- Factory reconditioned and remanufactured controllers are tested
thoroughly at the factory ensuring they perform to the same standards
as new controllers.
- We offer a full 2-year warranty on all controllers
from date of repair. Most repaired and rebuilt controllers cannot
offer that length of warranty.

The terms "Remanufactured" and "Rebuilt" and "Repaired"
are often used interchangeably when in reality they are distinctively
different processes.

REBUILDING/REPAIRING is a process of repairing or "fixing"
a controller to make it "useable" again. In this process, the item
is not restored to its original "as new" condition. Only the defective
parts are replaced in this method of repair to make the unit functional.
We do not offer this solution because it is not what our customers
want or deserve.
REMANUFACTURING is a process in which Curtis PMC controllers
are renewed to their original "as new" condition. In this process,
the controller is disassembled down to its core parts. The components
are thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and reconditioned. The controller
is reassembled using all new parts, and then bench tested ensuring
proper performance in all aspects of operation. This process yields
the "as new" performance our customers expect from our remanufactured
components.
